Awaiting Devil May Cry 6: Rumors and Hints at a New Installment

It seems that Devil May Cry 6, a new addition to the beloved franchise, might be in development, and fans are eagerly waiting for official announcements.

The release of the Devil May Cry anime series on Netflix sparked excitement among enthusiasts. This TV adaptation, exploring events prior to Devil May Cry 3, has drawn the attention of both longtime supporters and newcomers to the franchise.

Six years after the release of Devil May Cry 5 and Hideaki Itsuno’s departure from Capcom, fans are left speculating about the series’ future. Amid these uncertainties, Reuben Langdon, Dante’s voice actor, has seemingly hinted at the next installment of the franchise.

Reuben Langdon recently spoke about Capcom’s unsuccessful attempt to reboot Devil May Cry in 2013. The actor, who has voiced Dante since Devil May Cry 3 and portrayed the character in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and another anime adaptation, reportedly mentioned Devil May Cry 6 during discussions, according to the news outlet TechFourGamers.

Although the mention might have been an error, it is plausible that Capcom could be planning a new installment following its investment in a major TV adaptation. Rumors also suggest Capcom may be working on a remake of one of the previous titles, with the possibility of an official reveal before the end of 2025.
